Description
Natural Humate Soil Conditioner
AusMate is a naturally occurring humate soil conditioner designed for broad-acre, horticultural and cropping applications.
It provides a concentrated source of humic substances and organic carbon and is intended to support soil condition, nutrient retention and root-zone function. AusMate can be broadcast directly or blended with compatible fertiliser or lime products.
Humic substances interact with soil minerals, nutrients and water through a range of physical and chemical processes.
Potential Benefits
- Provide a concentrated source of humic substances and organic carbon.
- Support soil aggregation, structure and workability.
- Support water retention in some soils, particularly soils low in clay or organic matter.
- Contribute to soil nutrient-holding and buffering processes.
- Help retain selected nutrients within the root zone.
- Support nutrient availability and nutrient-use efficiency.
- Complement fertiliser and lime programmes.
- Support soil biological and root-zone processes.
- Assist the management of free-draining, compacted or heavily cropped soils as part of a wider soil-improvement programme.
- Support plant establishment and growth under suitable soil and management conditions.
AusMate is intended to complement a balanced soil fertility programme. It should not be regarded as a replacement for appropriate fertiliser inputs or crop-specific agronomic advice.
